The trouble with having loved ones is that whatever you're going through, you get to feel it too. Your emotions are thus affected not only by your circumstances but by all of theirs! And unlike your own circumstances, you can't make decisions for them! I have learned acceptance in such circumstances - just to be there for them. Experience has taught me that this is the best response.

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
The latest two challenges in the Blonder household are Son having a bruising online row with his girlfriend and the oven ignition failing. Fortunately neither of these are beyond repair nor in the meantime mean the end of life as we know it.
On my eternal quest to stay grounded, I may have made a breakthrough - I have finally tapped-in to how being grounded feels. This gives me something I can continually focus on that will generate the neurotransmitters that will make it meta-stable. Of course only time will tell if this is really a turning point. I need to be able to prove to myself that I can generate this feeling for prolonged periods.
