3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
With Son at home occupying the front room yesterday, I used this as a pretext to put off the housework until today, though I did do the laundry and some basic tidying up. Today will be far more business-like, as days with clients coming usually are - brain goes up a gear!

However I've no regrets about Monday, which I thoroughly enjoyed, doing not very much but revel in the creature comforts I have acquired and in the love of Son and Missus. It is undescribably blissful being so loved and cared about, and unprompted, my mind spontaneously let go of the whole Daughter Trauma. Bottom line is, why am I bothering with someone who doesn't like me?

Love is a powerful healing force. In combination with self-discipline it can bring you complete wellbeing. The odd thing is that all the past trauma I have experienced - growing up in a dysfunctional family, emotional neglect, loneliness, bullying, injustice, other's selfishness and seeing Missus lose her mind, have all also directly contributed and led me to the bliss I enjoy.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

8. TRIVIA
The local suicide rate in any area depends on the cultural expectations placed on the individual relative to the communal support available. Suicides are highest where the personal expectations are high and the culture is individualistic, and lowest where the culture is communal and spiritual.

The highest suicide rates occur in Scandanavia, The German-speaking countries, Hungary and Japan.

Countries with particularly low rates are the Philippines, Angola, Jamaica, Mexico, the Bahamas, Kuwait, Jordan, Kenya, and Egypt

No suicides at all have been reported in the Hindu Kush region of India and some South Pacific islands.

9. ZEN WISDOM
To desire is to be human - but let them be for wisdom and compassion
