3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
As half-term week draws to a close, we can call it a success! A good balance of business, me time and family time, another week in paradise. I am not complacent however. I know full-well that what it takes to get it, it takes to keep it, so I will be keeping up with all disciplines and keeping consciousness focused.

I am a little surprised in how little sleep I've got by on, averaging 5-6 hours per night but I have gone with my body clock and feel fine, alert and relaxed.

9. ZEN WISDOM

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I continue a run of early waking, 04:10 but consider it an advantage as I have abundant time to myself before waking Missus. Following some advice about promotional posts is proving time-costly but I believe in it and am pursuing it. For my character, life continues in an uneventful blissful manner.

Enjoyable as it is, I wish to stay "awake" and keep my consciousness at universal level, for that is where true peace-of-mind is.

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have been getting by on 5-6 hours sleep this week, but with almost zero stress in my life, I seem to be getting by just fine on it. All the same, I intend to Meditate and/or nap when Missus does in the afternoon to ensure any "sleep debt" is paid off.

I have been waking really early unprompted, around 0430 in the past few days, but this has been quite useful, enabling me to keep blogs up to date before waking Missus. I'm just going with my bodymind and responding accordingly.

Son has chosen to keep his birthday on Sunday low-key and just make an evening of it with me. Now THAT'S a compliment! How many 19-year olds would want to spend their birthday with their dad?!

So begins another day in paradise. Paradise, it turns out, is a very unspectacular thing, but blissfully cosy. I intend to fully relish every moment.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
What are the things in your life for which you're profoundly grateful?

Sunset at 16:40

Air Pressure: 1016 millibars and rising

6. TODAY'S ONELINER

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
Most deaths due to flu are because of a secondary bacterial infection causing pneumonia

9. ZEN WISDOM
Even places that have been shrouded in darkness for billions of years can be illuminated. Even a stone from the bottom of a river can be used to produce fire. Our present sufferings, no matter how dark, have certainly not continued for billions of years—nor will they linger forever. The sun will definitely rise. In fact, its ascent has already begun.
