3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I never ceased to be amazed at how my relationship with Son and Missus is a spectacular success, and that with Daughter an utter failure. Experience has led me to conclude that success in relationships is actually nothing to do with me at all, but the nature of the people around me. I therefore can relax and accept that either relationships work or they don't, and for my own wellbeing, it's best to sever toxic ones and gratefully pursue the successes.

Acceptance in general is a key mental discipline, as you cannot fully develop if you are handicapped by resentment. Acceptance is a daily ongoing choice - moment by moment you ccept or resent the situation you're in. Sometimes an enotional reaction can override your reason - this itself has to be accepted! Everyone can be broken, and vulnerability is just another thing to accept.

My experience is that when I have lost it, given time and space I always recover, and though I will never be invincible, I am increasingly more robust.

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
The word irony doesn't mean what you think it does, which would be ironic, if it meant that, but it doesn't. :D

8. TRIVIA

9. ZEN WISDOM
None of us can exist in isolation. Our lives and existence are supported by others in seen and unseen ways, be it by parents, mentors or society at large. To be aware of these connections, to feel appreciation for them, and to strive to give something back to society in a spirit of gratitude is the proper way for human beings to live.
