3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

I'm making significant progress in Higher Consciousness - I'm confident it will soon be second-nature and my default mode. I'm particularly focused on maintaining it during interactions.

I remember being quite daunted on first learning that the ego has to die in order to achieve Higher Consciousness, but now I understand what that really means - it's only an idea that dies, a bit like the idea of Father Christmas dies, although ego dies a lot slower. It takes some time for the subconscious to "catch up" with the intellect.

I have devoped a simple mantra to stay conscious - be quiet, settle down and listen. I physically and mentally stop struggling in the same way as you would consent to undergoing hypnosis. What I used to consider "me" then becomes simply a sophisticated sensory organ for the universe. I continue to press on to make this the permanent state of consciousness.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Would you like to know what you really are?

5. TODAY'S WEATHER IN BRADFORD

8. TRIVIA
Hawaii has lost more species and has more endangered species than any other state in the United States. Nearly all of the state’s native birds are in danger of becoming extinct.

9. ZEN WISDOM
The greatest resource that humankind has is to be found within people themselves. This treasure can be endlessly mined and developed. To believe in and encourage youth, bringing out their wisdom and strength; this is the challenge and purpose of education.
