3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have been frustrated recently by a series of brain malfunctions that have cost me time, energy and expense, due to failures of concentration and memory. I seem particularly vulnerable to these when there is a disruption to the normal routine. Fortunately all the incidents have been annoying rather than disastrous and in my conversations with others seems to be commonplace.

My reaction to these events has at least been appropriate. When brain does malfunction, one has to simply accept the losses incurred and carry on, though if possible put new routines and procedures in place to prevent a repeat. Being composed before commencing or resuming a task seems to be particularly important.

A particular theme arising from recent incidents is the importance of grounding, focusing not on circumstances but appropriate responses. I shall therefore, as far as I am able, keep focus on responding appropriately!
