3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
It was slightly disappointing that three blissful days of generally harmonious family togetherness and the best Christmas ever ended with a a sharp tiff with Son over a tape measure. I fear I overreacted as Son inadvertantly trod on several raw nerves at once. 

I don't like being accused of stuff, however indirectly, I don't like a cosy time with Missus being interrupted and both are especially exasperating when lost tape measure was in fact staring him in the face, exactly where he left it. Of course this is really no big deal per se but both Son and I find falling out traumatic. Doubtless a cooling-off period will smooth things over. 

Snow overnight had the beneficial effect of cancelling Missus' visit to Daughter so keeping her out of that horrid young woman's vampiric clutches for another week. Missus phobia of snow and ice has in this instance proved handy! Missus' Christmas at home served to show her how much better she gets treated here, and she didn't really want to go anyway. Tiff with Son notwithstanding, I shall still head out to the Weekend Job with a satisfied smirk.
