3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
After over a week on short sleep, brain finally decided it needed longer. Abundant short-term memory dropouts yesterday were followed by "early brain shutdown" and I was in bed for 22:15 last night.

I would point out that I hadn't been forcing myself to keep awake or wake early, it was just "what my brain did". I just went with it! I don't have an explanation for why my brain does what it does, my consciousness simply manages it the best it can. I haven't done any meditation for five days and I did not have the usual crankiness this neglect usually causes, (probably due to very benign circumstances) but it has possibly contributed to concentration malfunction. Today is a good day to restore balance!

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you listening to what your body is telling you?

9. ZEN WISDOM
There’s no need for us to be held back by the past or how things have been so far. The important thing is what seeds we are sowing now for the future.
