3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
This being the quietest day of the week, it's an opportunity to "catch my breath", prepare for the next round of client sessions and enjoy simply being.

Last night I was sat with Missus and both cats in the lounge and thought to myself that this was perfection. A comfortable loving atmosphere of bliss and contentment. With our children finding their own way we can focus once more on living life our unique way.

I certainly would rather be a contented fiftysomething than to be a young adult again with all the uncertainty and struggle. Son I feel will be fine and will survive. Daughter is another matter. Though our relationship is dead does not mean I do not care. Brilliantly gifted, her Achilles heel is the inability to be wrong or to fail, and responds when cornered to vindictive lashing out and blaming others, particularly me, for her woes. This leads to inner turmoil and ultimately to self-destruction. Whilst she is not listening or reaching out regarding her issues, there is nothing anyone can do about it.

I suffer a permanent living bereavement but whilst I give it a place I cannot let it rule my life. I have a role to fulfil and positive differences to make. There remains plenty of joy and love in my life to make home a blissful place.

The current situation provides abundant opportunities to not only play a fulfilling character role but to be utterly still and also be pure consciousness. I can now "enjoy the movie" without being completely lost in it.

6. TODAY'S ONELINER

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
Though the ground moved for only about 20 seconds during the 1995 Kobe, Japan, earthquake, more than 5,000 people were killed, 300,000 people were left homeless, and more than 100,000 buildings were destroyed.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Our lives inherently possess a boundless energy. Summoning this forth, we can break through the shell of the small self that constrains our lives. The process of revolutionizing our own lives and helping others to do the same, can transform society and ultimately elevate the state of humanity.
