3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

So what do you do when you've reached the state of total contentment? Well you don't just stop! A blissful state is not the absence of threats or challenges, nor indeed goals to achieve. Having invested heavily in equipment, when not actually seeing clients, relentless marketing needs to happen to achieve my next goal - getting rid of the Weekend Job. For that to happen I need a whole new level of reputation to get the turnover to make my Practice self supporting.

Always having "one goal left" is the way to maintain bliss, along with the humility to accept that all things pass, and at any moment. You can never be invincible, only robust and longer-lasting. The very nature of a character is to be limited.

On the universal scale, the ultimate purpose of a human character is to receive memes, eliminate some, and then pass on modified ones before expiring. It is tempting to see this character's memes as Ultimate Truth in evolutionary competition with all the delusions, but of course I cannot know that. I am confident however that ultimately delusions are limited in lifespan and ultimately die as successive generations no longer accept them and reproduce them.

It has been a joy and privilege for this character to simply SEE all this, to have ultimately enjoyed the movie. As upsetting and distressing as it has been in places, I'm well aware it has been considerably less distressing than many movies out there. My underlying "ground state" emotion is therefore gratitude. 

I am particularly glad to have participated, to have uploaded my memes while I still have the capacity to do so, and to have made a difference. I will carry on doing so in whatever time I have left.
