3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
So begins 2.5 weeks of quality time with Missus, over which I have mixed feelings. On one hand I'll miss the freedom I normally get but on the other I know that all things pass so you have to make the most of your relationships. Bottom line is that she is Priority #1 and all the happiness I enjoy is because of her. I also never forget that there are times when she has carried ME. We are in short utterly interdependent.

I think unlike most folks that its good to keep mortality and death at the forefront of your mind as you then live better lives, but I certainly hope none of the four of us dies in the next ten years as it will be disastrous! In that time I hope the kids will be established in adult roles and my Practice will be self-supporting. Then, when death an bereavement comes, we will be robust enough to cope - I don't think we're there yet.

I further hope that Missus then dies first - that is in the best interest of everyone. Most disastrous of all is if I die first - that will leave a very messy and unhappy situation indeed. I hope to discuss with Missus cousin in September some sort of contingency in that event.

However - right here right now I'm doing everything I can and life is bliss, so I'm not going to spoil that by worrying, which is effectively a prayer for something you don't want. Instead, I'll ride the wave of pleasure as it thunders through me.

Amused, Higher Consciousness looks on...

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
If you are what you eat, supermarkets are clearly selling vast quantities of stupid :D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
The Iraqi desert is home to the dangerous saw-scale viper. Many scientists consider it the most dangerous snake in the world. The viper is known to strike without provocation and even chase its victims. Its bite often results in death.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Trust is difficult to earn and it is easily lost—the trust built over a decade can be shattered in an instant by one offhanded remark or deed. A person who is not swayed from their chosen path, even during the most trying times, will ultimately find that he or she is trusted by all.
