3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
With a client cancellation I have a chance to catch my breath, restore batteries and generally permit some self-indulgence between the necessary tasks. A most necessary task will be meditation - I have missed a few days and I seem to be really slow at learning this lesson - when I miss meditation for too many days, I get a low-level rumbling insecure feeling that affects my performance. I believe that meditation greatly improves your sense of perspective and hence an underlying deep calm that soon wears off if you don't keep it up.

Always keen to impress its necessity on clients, I keep having to re-learn it myself! I have probably been caught up in the surge in clients in my Practice, which is wonderful, but I need to learn not to let even good distractions prevent self-maintenance. I intend to make this a "lesson learned"  and not let unexpected "busy-ness" distract me in future.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Hope transforms pessimism into optimism. Hope is invincible. Hope changes everything. It changes winter into summer, darkness into dawn, descent into ascent, barrenness into creativity, agony into joy. Hope is the sun. It is light. It is passion. It is the fundamental force for life’s blossoming.
