While Missus enjoys Day 2 of her "three days in bed", my day will be less idle. I am quite pleased that I have now listed my daily disciplines, so that even if I don't do them, I know what they are! They are:

CONTEMPLATION OF ACHIEVEMENT

The seven Hermetic Principles are as close as I get to a dogma. They summarise my own beliefs about the universe, though even then I have tweaked them slightly from the original. In my version they state that the behaviour of the Universe is governed by seven principles:

MENTAL
The fundamental building block of existence is consciousness
CORRESPONDENCE
The universe exists in three planes: Matter, Energy and Consciousness, determined by the level of vibration
VIBRATION
All things vibrate
POLARITY
All things are the same and vary only in degree
RHYTHM
Everything moves in cycles
CAUSE AND EFFECT
Nothing happens by chance - everything is an inevitable consequence of the Big Bang - everything is affected by everything else.
GENDER
All things are either creative/positive or destructive/negative.


With such clarity of vision and purpose, life is no longer a frightening experience, but an adventure!
