3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I shall remember the weekend just passed as the Weekend Of Injuries: Daughter lost the tip of a finger to a fan at her workplace, Son ate a raw chicken gujon (?!) and spent Saturday night/Sunday morning with bad guts, and Revan The Cat was recovering from an abcess. All these events caused disruption to the Weekend and me to waste a Viagra tablet.

Fortunately all injured parties are already recovered or recovering, and it was kinda fulfilling to be everybody's rock, although it was a reminder that I can never truly sever ties with Daughter while Missus lives.

Over the last couple of weeks there has been healing from Daughter Trauma, or at least the scar has stopped bleeding. Suitably distanced from that direction, I can be philosophical and accepting. It is easier and simpler to view the relationship as dead, as it is with the nuclear family I grew up with. This frees up my mind to focus on the two relationships that are working, with Son and Missus, which continue to thrive.

As this character, I have learned that life goes better when you aggressively stand up for yourself, so long as you are benevolent to those who are harmless. These days I bare fangs without hesitation to any physical or verbal aggression or unreasonable demand. I find it no coincidence that I have never been happier!

My experience has caused me to reject utterly the hippy peace/love/pacifist philosophy and even the Primacy Of Love. On the other hand, I also reject personal gain as a life-purpose. I believe in the primacy of a morally neutral collective consciousness, and that the most fulfilling life objective is to make a difference. Because my consciousness has developed the ability to distance itself from both my character and his circumstances at any given moment, apart from the occasional distraction, I am in possession of life's ultimate prize - peace of mind.

8. TRIVIA

9. ZEN WISDOM
Like the ocean that remains calm in its depths even when waves rage over its surface, and like the sun that continues shining on high even during storms, we can at each moment create value and develop our state of life, enjoying our existence to the fullest in times of both suffering and joy.
