3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I'm surprised to say this, but Son off on sleepover is something of a relief - his negative attitude of late has brought a subtle sour atmosphere to the house which I've only noticed now he's gone. (Nothing like Daughter of course, who made the atmosphere absolutely poisonous). Missus will be taking full advatage later on this morning when I relieve her currently high-powered libido. Only sleepiness or a full stomach or the oppressive presence of Son, who thinks oldie-sex is grossly disgusting and a violation of his human rights, prevents me from requiring daily doses of Viagra.

I have learned how much your attitude affects everyone around you. Your focus has an important impact not only on your own wellbeing but on those around you. There is still a place for the dark emotions though - I have found them a useful defensive weapon for keeping malevolent agendas at bay, but not in the sanctity of home. Your own mood is a very powerful tool in creating a life for yourself, and to master it, you must master thought. I am starting to reap the rewards of thought-management and it's this skiil that will enable the final third of my life to be fulfilling and enjoyable.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
What do Gynaecologists and Pizza Delivery Men have in common? They always get to sniff what they work with, but never get to eat it.

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
QI: Gorilla-viewing device

8. TRIVIA
Buying ice cream on Sundays was illegal in Ohio because it was thought to be frivolous and “luxurious.” Consequently, ice cream vendors would put fruit on top of the ice cream to make it more nutritious, creating the ice cream sundae.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Ideal love is fostered only between two sincere, mature and independent people. Real love is not two people clinging to each other; it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality.
