3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
An embarrassing "failure to launch" last night was made up for an hour later after a second blue tablet. My diagnosis was a full stomach slowed the uptake of the drug. All good learning experience! Missus, bless her, quite rightly pointed out that she herself needs tablets to function, and there are far worse conditions.

All my learning does not prevent me getting low moods, set-off by trivial disappointments, but what it does do is enable me to prevent it directing my behaviour. In past years I fear, the treatment my family got in the evening depended on how well my day went. This is now a rare event - I can recover much faster from minor setbacks and annoyances. This is mainly because I can intervene and interrupt the chain of thought that leads to rage, so long as I get a little time and space to "re-set".

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

9. ZEN WISDOM
As we work for the greater good, we build happiness for ourselves and others. The more we do for other people, the more the path of our own happiness will open up. In realizing this, we discover a sense of gratitude in being able to help them.
