3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Son is so much like me it's almost frightening! The big advantage of this is that I can read him like a book and know exactly what he's feeling. Like me at that age he is prone to serious "downers" and self-pity, particularly when he feels let down by others. Unlike me at that age he's got a Dad who understands. I therefore know that his sense of isolation doesn't really come from the behaviour of others, but rather the fact that he has not yet come to terms with the downside of his gift of a superior insight.
Seeing things as they are in greater depth means that you simply cannot think and act on the superficial level most people around you are on - fickle, trivial and ignorant. This can make you feel lonely and isolated. At best, the insightful only ever relate to a handful of people in their lives. Everyone else is kinda disappointing.
Eventually, and much quicker than I did (because I had no mentoring) he will come to terms with his difference, and once he starts to receive wider recognition, his thoughts will turn from what others aren't delivering to what he can contribute to the world.
The reality is that on the ultimate level of existence, there is only actually "you" here, and you have everything necessary within yourself to enjoy a fulfilling life experience. You don't need anyone's approval to be happy, although you will inevitably attract those who do. You simply need to see your own self-worth and put it to good use.
I am in truth far more isolated than he will ever be, but I will never again feel lonely, though I will never forget its' crushing misery. But I now know what you and I really are, and every day I can see the difference I am making. Loneliness has turned into gratitude. So long as I continue to have a happy personal space free of malign influence, that happiness and gratitude will carry on indefinitely!

he should move somewhere else.
7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
Would I Lie To You - The Baboon Area
8. TRIVIA
Fish can form schools containing millions of fish. They use their eyes
and something called a lateral line to hold their places in the school.
The lateral line is a row of pores running along the fish’s sides from
head to tail. Special hairs in the pores sense changes in water pressure
from the movements of other fish or predators.
9. ZEN WISDOM
Character can be shaped or etched. It may be true from a medical
perspective that our psychological and physiological traits are
generally predetermined genetically. Knowing this, however, adds little
to our lives. All that matters is how we can better ourselves here and
now.
