3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I shall remember this as the week of glitches! As well as missus being poorly, several online forums and the broadband connection itself had issues, and in attempting to solve them, I created a few more!
Missus has now recovered and gone back to work - albeit for two days before the half-term break. I'm still having some online issues but everything is good enough to function. The most significant glitch of all was probably myself, and the way I reacted to my routine being disrupted. I too have recovered composure, having learned something about myself. We shall see if my response to future disruptions is more controlled! I certainly intend that to be the case.

8. TRIVIA
In Vulcanology, a "hotspot" is a column of basalt that punctures the earth’s
crust and allows magma to escape from the interior. The movement of
a tectonic plate over a hot spot forms a chain of volcanic islands,
called a seamount. The Hawaiian Islands are the most well-known hotspot. Most volcanic activity takes place at the boundary of tectonic plates.
The least geologically active place in the world is Australia, with no volcanoes or earthquakes at all. Just a few hundred miles away however, New Zealand is the opposite, with earthquakes and volcanoes aplenty.
9. ZEN WISDOM
If you failed yesterday, strive to win today. If you were defeated today, strive to win tomorrow.
