3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Children became the topic of discussion last night. Though I am Missus' carer, she is still Missus and quite capable of meaningful conversation. I was thus able to offload my feelings about Daughter and impress upon her how painful our breakup has been. I felt a lot better for sharing and felt Missus understood my position better.

Conversation with Son was somewhat less rewarding as he has not fully come to terms with Missus illness and her various quirks. This reared its head again over the fact that we are visiting his tutors next week. He was (unnecessarily) worried about how we will conduct ourselves!

I know what he feels but I also know that there has to be acceptance about how things are - it's all just Physics in action, and it's better to work with it and around it rather than resent it.

Even places that have been shrouded in darkness for billions of years can be illuminated. Even a stone from the bottom of a river can be used to produce fire.
