3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
After everyone being at home for half-term, and all the excitement of Son turning 18 and arranging logistics for his Conservatoire auditions, it's back to reality for everybody - Missus and Son back to their respective educational institutions and myself getting on with some serious housework - desperately needed after two weeks of enforced neglect. I was pleased to update everything online regarding my Practice so I can focus entirely on being a domestic for the day - it will be good for me to do something physical.

It's another day in paradise with many things to be thankful for, but it's important that I keep up the disciplines that both got it in the first place and enable me to enjoy it. Anything to run smoothly has to be regularly stopped and maintained, and of course with age and things becoming less robust, this is increasingly important. This applies not just to things and one's own body, but relationships. My heavy investment in those who love and appreciate me has brought rich rewards of joy beyond any other experience.

By the end of today, the house and myself will feel much better for a right good clean!

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

9. ZEN WISDOM
The courage not to bow to pressure, the courage to stand alone, the courage to maintain one’s determination, the courage to look deep into one’s heart and confront one’s own cowardice and arrogance, the courage to challenge difficulties—those who possess this kind of courage are true victors.
