3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Missus was dropping plenty of "commercials" last night about what she wanted in the morning, so it looks like I'll be needing a blue tablet or two, as half-term break approaches the back end. I'm therefore geared up to a honeymoonish kinda day with Missus, interspersed with some me time when she's distracted elsewhere.

Cinnamon in my tea and coffee continues to produce astonishing results regarding mood and suppressing appetite, although it is not a mood panacea! I'm feeling a little guilty at losing patience with Missus for a brief moment last night for asking dumb questions. Fortunately, unlike myself, she does not hold a grudge and forgot it within minutes - this is a quality I greatly admire! It is the principal reason why she still has a relationship with Daughter whilst myself and Son do not.

I have been reminded that my stability cannot be taken for granted - ongoing discipline, very highly-developed focus, a mainly benign environment and a little chemistry are required to keep this character a reasonable human being.

8. TRIVIA
Most Roman aqueducts were over 55 feet high. Their great height not only controlled the flow of water but also made it more difficult for someone to steal water and for enemies to put poison in it. The Roman Aqueduct of Segovia was built of stones with no mortar and is still used to carry water today.
