3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Recovery from my recent infection continues! My cough is light and I'm hoping it will gradually diminish, and my nasal passages are much better. I can continue to enjoy a quiet week of abundant rest.
Yesterday a rare fall-out with Son occurred over the one bone of contention between us - mine and his mother's sex-life. You may be wondering what that has to do with him! He feels that we are not adequately discreet and resents having to hear it.
My attitude is that in the first place it's not that often (just weekly for most weeks in term time) and not that loud, though clearly audible, and he only rarely goes out, and that a sex-life is essential to his parents wellbeing on several levels.
I can understand annoyance, but not the raw anger and accusations of betrayal. I never respond well to being aggressively confronted, usually "going nuclear" quite quickly. 24 hours to mutually "cool-off" was required, and now at some point today, awkward negotiations will be necessary.
