3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Much to my surprise, Missus opted for a local anaesthetic rather than to be sedated for her endoscopy, but what she gained in post-operative awareness soon evaporated after the anaesthetic wore off, feeling tired, sick and sore, so she's at home recovering today anyway.

For me this all means that the week will turn out as expected, somewhat fragmented. However there's plenty of me time and opportunities to keep my head in the right place. Whilst waiting for Missus to emerge from her endoscopy for example turned out to be an ideal meditation opportunity.

I intend to exploit every opportunity to do what I love doing and things I don't like only when absolutely necessary, the absolute opposite of the philosophy I grew up surrounded by. After seeing the misery and dysfunctionality that resulted, I have no intention of making the same mistakes.

I will also keep pursuing my goals in the face of every disappointment, setback, defeat and failure, treating them all as lessons to learn from on my way to triumph.
