3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I am thoroughly enjoying my holiday-at-home, although the house and garden are showing symptoms of the resultant lack of attention! However, they can wait a little longer as priority today is comforting Missus - it's her long-dead Dad's birthday today and she has made it clear she would like to mark the day.

Though I have never suffered bereavement, I have extensive second-hand experience of it. I know that the pain of loss never goes away and periodic times of remembrance are important. It's a great honour and priviledge to be there for a bereaved person, for that is what they want - another to just be there for them in their grief - no words, just quiet, supportive company.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you there for others when they really need it?

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!

8. TRIVIA
While awake, a human brain can generate enough energy to power a light bulb (between 10-23 watts)

9. ZEN WISDOM
Without dialogue, humans are fated to walk in the darkness of their own dogmatic self-righteousness. Dialogue is the lamp by which we dispel that darkness, lighting and making visible for each other our steps and the path ahead.
