3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
With Missus seeing a friend I have some free space today but will spend much of it on house and garden. This is no bad thing as it is healthy to get moving and do something physical. A little physicality is also good for the mind, a form of meditation.

One of the most important lessons I have learned is the difference between preferences and intentions. A preference is what you'd rather be doing right now and an intention is a difference you wish to make. Often, your preference will clash with your intention. For your intention to triumph it must have your full attention. For this reason the most important maxim I have learned is to keep your attention on your intention

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Is your attention on what you'd rather do right now or how you want your life to be?

5. TODAY'S WEATHER IN BRAFORD

6. TODAY'S ONELINER
Our local school has become an academy sponsored by IKEA. Standards are good, but assembly takes ages :D

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
Noel Fielding and Russell Brand in Big Fat Quiz of The Year

8. TRIVIA
Celebrities who report being bullied in high school include Lady Gaga (who was thrown in a rubbish bun), Fred Durst (known as an underdog), Kate Winslet (for being chubby), and Michael Phelps (for his gangly form and big ears).

9. ZEN WISDOM
Character can be shaped or etched. It may be true from a medical perspective that our psychological and physiological traits are generally predetermined genetically. Knowing this, however, adds little to our lives. All that matters is how we can better ourselves here and now.
