3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
In maintaining super-consciousness you can never "relax" - you never reach a point where it all becomes automatic with your focus nailed onto the right thing. Conscious effort continues to be required on a daily basis to maintain all the necessary disciplines! I am continually having to pull my attention back from dark unhelpful places.

Paradoxically, even relaxation requires effort! You have to consciously place your focus in a certain place to let relaxation to occur. In short, focus is like a muscle that works on a "use it or lose it" basis. Your mind will drop it and wander randomly to save energy unless focus is actively "chosen" on a daily basis. And is it all worth it? ABSOLUTELY! The elimination of suffering and peace of mind, life's greatest prize, is the daily wages of this daily discipline.

In leisure time, I notice there as been a shift away from Tumblr and social media to Tivo! I think there is only so much "instant media" you can absorb before it all gets a bit samey. But it's all just different flavours of the bliss that my home life now is.

9. ZEN WISDOM
True love should be transformative; a process that amplifies our capacity to cherish not just one person but many people. It can make us stronger, lift us higher and deepen us as individuals. Only to the extent that we polish ourselves now can we hope to develop wonderful bonds of the heart in the future.
