3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
An amusing conversation with boiler repair man ensued yesterday:
Me: They keep telling me Wrocester boilers are good - I'm not impressed with mine!
BRP: They ARE good boilers - you should see what the others are like!

He pointed out that all the parts are built to fail but are easily sourced and replaced - a lucrative trade in spare parts for the manufacturers and boiler repairers! A hidden but not new scandal! For over 100 years manufacturers have been deliberately NOT making things to last so you have to keep buying. The choice is don't buy one at all or be prepared to keep buying.

Of course, with many of these gadgets, the convenience and comfort they provide keeps you buying. Instant warmth throughout the whole house and instant hot water are very nice! So much so that I am willing to ripped off until something more reliable emerges.

Btw he couldn't fix the boiler yesterday - he didn't have the part required in has van! He's coming again today.

My Practice is going through a busy patch with challenging but fulfilling cases. I LOVE IT!! It was what I was born to do. Preparing and following-up sessions will take up a fair amount of today's time.
