3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I frequently encourage clients and my listening audience to have an orgasm-a-day, with or without partners, for health and wellbeing reasons. I however have now gone without for three days due to a general lack of privacy, opportunity and prioritization elsewhere. I am now observing the resultant reactions with interest.

Having erectile dysfunction, and with no chemical or physical assistance, my body has shown no outward sign of frustration at all. In fact, even the "urine boners" of the small hours have tailed off in intensity. It's all very floppy down there!

Internally however, I can feel the deprivation! There's a permanent feeling of "fullness" in my perimeum and a subtle feeling of dissatisfaction at odds with the reality of a very happy life. My morning urine is cloudy. I feel distracted, less sharp and can't reach the deepest levels of relaxation.

The scientific part of me finds all this fascinating! How will this develop? Will I get so frustrated that I will make time and space for "relief" or will these "withdrawal symptoms" settle down and fizzle out? In either case, this "famine" won't last. Thursday, in an unwritten and unspoken "pact" with Son is "do it day" when Missus feels free enough to indulge without getting the disgusted disapproval of Son. So from a scientific view, this "study" has only three more days to run.

Though I could easily manage it, even if Missus "lost interest" I would still not conduct a self-study in long-term celibacy. I am too convinced that wellbeing depends on "keeping everything moving" and I see no point in increasing the risk of prostate cancer or diminishing general health and wellbeing by however small a factor just out of curiosity.
