1. ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY
10th January 1863
The Birth of The London Underground, the world's oldest Metro system
The idea of an underground railway linking the City of London with some of the railway termini in its urban centre was proposed in the 1830s, and the Metropolitan Railway was granted permission to build such a line in 1854. To prepare construction, a short test tunnel was built in 1855 in Kibblesworth, a small town with geological properties similar to London. This test tunnel was used for two years in the development of the first underground train, and was later, in 1861, filled up. The new underground railway opened in January 1863 between Paddington and Farringdon using gas-lit wooden carriages hauled by steam locomotives. The Metropolitain Line still exists as part of the system and is thus the oldest Metro line.
The London Underground now serves a large part of Greater London and parts of the home counties of Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex. The network has expanded to 11 lines, and in 2014/15 carried 1.305 BILLION passengers, making the Underground the world's 11th busiest metro system.
The system now serves 270 stations and has 250 miles (400 km) of route. Within London, the Underground mostly serves parts other than the South: less than 10% of Tube stations lie to the south bank of the River Thames, because the south has a very extensive standard suburban rail network. Despite its name, only 45% of the London Underground is actually underground in tunnels.

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
With it being Pearl Wedding week, there is a celebratory air and food discipline went down the pan yesterday! Never mind, a good time was had by all and I will rein myself back in a little over the coming week. During the week itself things will be mostly normal - there's still housework to do and clients to see, prepare for and follow-up on. There will just be freer clothing and more bonking in the evenings. I have wisely acquired a sufficient stock of those magic blue tablets to see me through.
My personal sexual motive is now completely different from previous decades, where it was about relief. These days, I do not walk around with a permanent boner. In fact, getting one at all from 11am onwards usually requires chemical assistance. Now, it's about health and wellbeing. As well as being an important dimension of a happy healthy marriage, a good daily cum is beneficial to your bodymind in many physical ways, and in males reduces the risk of prostate enlargement and cancer.
Of course, a regular sexual rhythm is only one of many requirements to maintain wellbeing. Mind and body have many other needs to keep them at max efficiency. Sleep, exercise, good nutrition, hydration, meditation, ambition, grounding and acceptance are equally important. I have to do all these things to make the difference I intend to make and to keep Consciousness above the character.
