Naval Battle of Guadalcanal begins. The Japanese Navy sails to put Henderson Field out of action by heavy naval bombardment, then send a major supply and reinforcement convoy to Guadalcanal with strong escort. They are opposed by US Task Force.

In Papua New Guinea... The Japanese withdraw from Oivi-Gorari area.

I felt considerably better after a long and deep 2-hour meditation yesterday, and found that the best way to resettle my mind was to focus it on absorbing tasks. A fresh week begins in which focus will be on business development.
