2. TODAY IN MY LIFE
After a productive day yesterday where several minor but necessary jobs got cleared out of the way, I can use today intuitively. It will certainly involve some me time, a long meditation, some prep for Sunday's Reiki Share and online promotion. Client prep, session and follow up after supper, then missus time in the later evening.

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
As well as an unusual openness, another significant trait is a refusal to accept being treated badly or disrespectfully, especially in the workplace. After a childhood where it felt like I was suffering the negative consequences of everyone else's agenda and unable to obtain any meaningful recognition or approval, and spending the prime of my life struggling to cope whilst having no sense of direction, it made me angry.

With my experience leading me to abandon security as a goal, I lost a great deal of fear and began biting back at people who pissed me off. That's when I discovered the power of the dark emotions of anger, hate and vindictiveness. Most folks just want a quiet life, and soon back away when they meet someone fully prepared to inflict grief on them.

My eyes were opened! I realized how much people are oppressed by fear, and that fear is in most cases worse than that feared. This is why so many accept being treated badly and living unfulfilling lives. I was liberated from this and could now forge my own destiny to my own liking. I am fully prepared to wield both positive and negative energies to make it happen.

To be rid of the Weekend Job and be based at home full time, shaking off the last situation where I am at the receiving end of other's unwanted agendas is my strongest desire right now.

8. TRIVIA
The internet is not the World Wide Web. The intenet is the physical connecting infrastructure between all the computers connected to it. The world wide web is software written in the computer language HTML that enables all these computers to interact on the internet using a common format.

The internet was invented by the US military to enable a network of computers to keep exchanging data even if one or more was lost in a nuclear attack, and it began operating in 1980. To save money and share the cost of running it, it then allowed academic institutions such as universities to exchange information on it. Because data could be encrypted, the military was happy to let others use it without fearing secrets being exposed. The number and diversity of internet users gradually expanded until finally including the public, with all subscribers contributing to the cost of maintenance.

With computers all using different operating systems and file formats, a common software became necessary. The system finally settled upon was the world wide web format, invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1989.

Lots of data on the internet is still exchanged that doesn't use the world wide web. File sharing software pioneered by Napster and the older Usenet are still much-used examples.
