REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 11th NOVEMBER 2012

They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
In the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Tell of them to others and say
For your tomorrow, they gave their today

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
All my training and learning makes me much more emotionally robust than I have been in the past - but not invincible. A "raw nerve" got trod on in an otherwise easy-going shift 2 of the Weekend Job, and I'm still recovering from it. Fortunately I didn't take it out on anyone and I have learned how to place my consciousness above the emotion, but it doesn't stop me feeling it or prevent my focus and train of thought being disrupted by it.

For most issues involving the mind, there is no cure, only good management. I have come to accept this, and the fact that my emotional response to certain situations is highly disproportionate is such an issue. I can be pleased with my damage-limitation techniques paying off, and it is a good lesson to be reminded that your wellbeing is fragile.
