3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
As much as I distinctly do not enjoy getting pissed off, upset or have raw nerves trod-on, such events are important lessons and growth points. I have learned the importance of time, space and environment in promoting rapid recovery from such situations, but you can never be too robust, and the last couple of Saturdays, where in each case a single individual in a single incident disturbed my inner peace, I have found my development driven forward.

When you are trying to break out of a negative emotional loop, the skill is in finding something that will rip your attention from it - a suitably absorbing distraction. The trouble with most distractions is that they are temporary. When you stop being distracted, you're back in the "loop".

I have found the answer in the principles of self-examination - instead of looking outward, you look inward to see what everything is made of. And what you find is - just Physics in action, matrices of interacting energy. The Character you are playing dissolves into an array of pixels, and you are left with the Player/Observer - pure consciousness.

Unfortunately, this is not something you can learn in 5 minutes. In fact, you often need several prompts of adversity and suffering to want to persevere with it at all, and it takes time to build up your power of focus to be strong enough to hold that view. The reward is peace - ultimate peace, in its' purest essence - the end of struggle. I have at least reached the point of experiencing that peace, and I'm learning to stretch the time periods when I'm "there".
