2. TODAY IN MY LIFE
Blogging first thing. Back to vet's with the cat for X-Ray and tests. Using day intuitively thereafter, but it will involve missus time, me time, online marketing and a long meditation.

 Twitter Followers = 1,615 (up 2)

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
A disturbed, fitful night's sleep interrupted by several toilet calls, sharing my pillow with the cat and disturbing dreams, disturbing not so much for the scenarios as my emotional reaction to them - violent and immature.

I suppose what disturbed me is that I am fully capable of reacting this way in reality without good self-management. The root cause is childhood scars of feeling powerless and defenceless, with no safe place. Adversity tends to arouse these scars.

Right now, I'm having to be the "rock" - missus depends on me in adversity and Son is taking the possibility of the cat's death rather badly. Fortunately the adversity isn't really that bad in the overall scheme of things and I'm far from breaking. I now have powerful defences, a loving safe place to enjoy and effective self-management strategies.

It is actually rather fulfilling to be the strong one, the one on whom others depend. If you have the strength, and the ablity to tap into the powerful resources within yourself, it is joyous to be making such a big difference.

Adversity, if it doesn't break you, makes you stronger, and I have been reminded to depend not on others but that everything I need is within myself.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
What would be the consequences for your loved ones if you were to crumble?

8. TRIVIA
WWI helped bring about the emancipation of women. Women took over many traditionally male jobs and showed that they could perform them just as well as men. In 1918, most women over the age of 30 were given the vote in the British parliamentary elections. Two years later, the 19th amendment granted American women the vote.

9. THE WISDOM I'VE LEARNED FROM OTHERS
"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." - Lee Holtz
