3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
A return to the Discipline of Surrender has greatly helped in the Discipline of Grounding as I pursue my ultimate spiritual objective - to be continually superconscious without interruption.

In a day with few distractions, yesterday was fairly easy to keep focused on, and it's important to make the most of such days in preparation for more distracting ones. A delicious 2.5 hour meditation was particularly enjoyable.

The Discipline of Surrender, when you are not being distracted, is also highly pleasurable. It is an act of faith in which the ego and the intellect surrender control and submit to the intuition. What most people consider themselves is in reality simply a point of awareness in space. Once you accept that "You" is actually everything you experience, that there is nothing outside of you, then fear evaporates and intellect can happily allow intuition to control it. The sensation is very similar to hypnosis, where your consciousness relaxes and opens itself to suggestion. There's a profound sense of relief as something beyond your consciousness takes over, but rather than being a hypnotist, it's your own intuition. The resultant feeling of peace is utterly delicious!

9. THE WISDOM I'VE LEARNED FROM OTHERS
"When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly." - Edward Teller
