3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
My original intention for a slob-out day has been overtaken by events, principally by business opportunities. Nevertheless it's hardly relentless, so there'll be time aplenty for everything.
A welcome opportunity for a prolonged meditation and plenty of space yesterday enabled me to refocus my awareness back to the the role of witness/observer, and unsurprisingly, calm and peace of mind returned. I am in the wonderful position of truly living rather than perpetual preoccupation with what needs doing.
My spiritual ambition is to continue to participate in the Life Experience and play my chosen character, but to do so from "further back" as the witness/observer on a perpetual basis. If I get too involved in the character as to become lost in it, suffering results. By the end of the Life Experience I will have experienced every viewpoint - the oppressed victim, the religious disciple, internal civil war, gradual enlightenment , the sage, and the Universal Observer.
It will have been a fascinating journey of discovery. I have loved, been loved, seen beautiful places, made a positive difference, created a legacy of wisdom, experienced ecstacy, warmth, comfort and peace of mind. I have no regrets or complaints whatsoever. Oh ok, more sex with more females would have been nice, but I wouldn't trade everything else just for bonking.
