3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
My rawest nerve is undoubetedly disapproval. From those who are expected to disapprove, I have defences in place, but I can be caught out by disapproval from places unexpected. Yesterday was a day where a series of very minor incidents of disapproval by Son and Missus plunged me into a deep malaise that surprised both me and them.

A nap and some comfort eating later, and I rapidly recovered, but it was another lesson learned. I can't rely on any context to be safe for a fragile ego. If I wish to participate in the most fulfilling way in this life experience, it is best done from "further back", with awareness centred on the universal. The ego is best used as a tool of contribution where the point is the contribution not the tool. The character you play then becomes a vector for energy rather than simply an absorber.

On a down-to-Earth level, I have also been reminded that what I think someone needs is not always what they actually want, and the correct response is not self-pity but to modify your output.
