In the "Wolf's Lair", East Prussia...
Hitler receives a reoprt from Admiral Doenitz about the alarming increase in U-Boat losses. Hitler also attends a demonstration of a protoype ironically-named "mouse" tank which is actually huge. This tank is never introduced.

In Burma...

The Arakan Campaign was a complete failure for the British, caused by poor training and organisation. A general reorganisation of the Indian army was initiated.

3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Although I did a little tidying up and the laundry, I spent most of yesterday on a video project of no importance at all to either house or Practice - and enjoyed immensely and guilt-free!

Plans were somewhat thrown by missus anouncing that she was ill (clearly not that ill, but she spent most of the day in bed asleep) and inclement weather. I could still have vacuumed the house but a little disappointed by wimpy missus and moody Son, I decided to please myself. I am in the fortunate position right now of being able to afford such indulgencies so I took full advantage.

Though I still have the same swirl of emotions I've always had, these days they cause me much less distress, largely due to the grounding techniques I have learned. However I've not been lulled into delusions of infallibility. I'm not yet so grounded that I couldn't be disrupted by a significant trauma. My most recent fallout with Daughter for example took me over a month to get over, though it did ultimately cause me to become more grounded as a result.

I am not in a position to become invincible, but I am robust, no longer thrown by the trivial or living in fear.
