3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
With Missus and Son both out today, a self-indulgent me-time slob will be enjoyed. I have absolutely no guilt whatever about doing nothing, having rejected utterly the "work-ethic" as a philosophy. I would not however advocate doing nothing indefinitely - for a fulfilling life, you need to make a difference - but for a day or so it is truly marvelous!

This life-experience is very short, and it is folly indeed to spend it doing stuff that is neither pleasant nor essential. I fully intend the remainder of this life to be JOY. I have already experienced quite enough the absence of joy to waste another minute.

I am well-aware that many lives never get the opportunity to know joy, so I have no intention of wasting the fact that I do.

8. TRIVIA
The famous Great Pyramid at Giza was built as a burial place for King Khufu (2589-2566 B.C.) and took more than 20 years to build. It is built from over two million blocks of limestone, each one weighing as much as two and a half elephants. It stands about 460 feet (149 m) high—taller than the Statue of Liberty. The base of the Great Pyramid takes up almost as much space as five football fields.

It is the only one of the "five ancient wonders" to survive to the present day, although not unscathed - its smooth marble exterior has been removed and stolen. This would have left the brickwork underneath exposed to weathering were it not for the dry desert conditions and being in a geologically stable area. Rain, earthquakes and storms are responsible for the destruction of all the other Ancient Wonders

9. ZEN WISDOM
How can we create the greatest value amidst a reality that is impermanent and in constant flux? Only through Enlightenment
