3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Using an abundance of spare time yesterday, I reorganized my collection of hypnotherapy and meditation soundtracks, and enjoyed a long meditation with a new powerful meditation CD. I can't wait until the next session!

To the uninitiated, meditation can seem like sleeping your life away, but from the practitioner's viewpoint, it's a truly delicious experience in true reality. Everything considered "real life" is in fact an elaborate drama experience created by the mind. The true reality is simply consciousness itself. Meditation is an opportunity to take a break from the virtual reality of this life experience and to return to pure awareness.

I have no desire to quit this life experience early - it's here to be participated in, but the regular breaks from it enable me to participate in a happier way. Indeed, after yesterday's meditation I had some great quality time with Son and missus. I am most grateful indeed to have experienced profound happiness. I am enjoying the best of all worlds - deeply refreshing experiences in pure consciousness and making a difference in the drama of real life in an enviroment of supreme comfort.

I must reluctantly conclude that my current profoundly pleasant experience is the direct consequence of experiences that have been profoundly unpleasant - loneliness, isolation, being unappreciated, frightened, lost, angry, depressed and confused. They all ultimately led to this blissful place.

The drama is of course not yet finished. It is possible that I have ahead of me as much as is past. Short time or long, I now understand that life is not about winning or losing, but in the experience of the journey. I am determined that in each moment remaining, I shall contribute something positive.
