3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
In the restorative atmosphere of a blissful home life, everyone in it soon recovers from whatever bad experiences may be encountered outside, and  after some minor wobbles caused by external issues earlier in the week, by last night, everyone went to bed happy.

With all things inevitably passing, and my moods and least prone to wild swings, I have concluded that of all the spiritual disciplines and practices, the most important is GROUNDING. This practice disengages your mind from all that stuff you can do nothing about and like a lens, focuses all your power on that which you can - your actions in the current time and place.

From moment to moment, there needs to be a constant process of acceptance of things as they happen, releasing of things that no longer serve and function, and utilization of things that come your way, changing your behaviour and routine to suit. I have come to see how the primal urge to cling to stuff inhibits development. Hanging on to old stuff will cause you to miss out on new opportunities.

Second most important is the QUIET MIND, trusting in intuition to make all the decisions and with consciousness simply observing, noticing and feeling. The mind then is liberated from all those conflicting and confusing cycles of thought trying to "work out" decisions. The clincher for me is the discovery that the mind has already made a decision before you are conscious of that decision, which means that all that fretting around it is pointless.

The reality is that when you feel distress, your actions will be out of fear. When you are in some way hungry, you will act from desire, and when at peace, you will act out of love, regardless of what reasoning you may attempt to employ. Far beter than to simply relax and let your mind defend you, feed you or fulfil you as it instinctively does.

8. TRIVIA
Unsurprisingly, Google is the world's most used website, with Facebook second. However, whereas Google is almost universally loved, Facebook is often loathed even by many who regularly use it, for bugs in the software, failure to protect the security and privacy of its users and imposing unwanted changes of format.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Human beings are inherently endowed with the power to bring out the best possible results from the worst possible circumstances.
