3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
New book is finally written and initially proof-read, I have offered it to some other folks for external proof-reading. I must say I'm very pleased with it and if nothing else states clearly what I have learned. I aim to self-publish it in February.

As I suspected he would, Son, given time and space, recovered significantly over the course of yesterday. Nevertheless I still need to keep a "hands off" approach, giving advice only when asked, and otherwise simply be there. Time for him to fully seek his own way!

As much as I would prefer to just simply write-off and bury any links with Daughter, this is in practice impossible due to her frequent unscheduled calls to Missus. Like it or not I indirectly get full updates on her life. She is clearly doing well at college but is painfully red-raw insecure, which in her manifests as highly vindictive outbursts in the face of even the slightest criticism and a desperate need for her mother's recognition.

For myself, I have learned that this life experience is all about how you respond to both the external and internal turbulence of everyday life. I intend to be fully focused on my proactive response rather than the negative aspects of any particular situation. This is incredibly liberating. When how you respond is all that matters, nothing can upset you.

Though much more robust these days, I am however not invincible. I can still "lose it" in certain situations. As far as I can, I simply avoid those situations, I have expelled from my life the people who tend to create them, and go into more hostile situations as mentally prepared as possible.

8. TRIVIA
It is estimated that 20–40% of models suffer from some type of eating disorder. Some groups are urging the fashion industry to ban the use of size “0” models. Size 0 usually corresponds to someone who has a Body Mass Index (BMI) below 18.5. An adult who has a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered to be at a healthy weight.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Life is filled with potential that is truly unfathomable. At last we are coming to see the enormous power it possesses. That is why we must never write anyone off. In particular, we mustn’t put boundaries on our own potential. In most cases, our so-called limitations are nothing more than our own decision to limit ourselves.
