3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
It's generally true that starting something or getting going is the hardest part of a task. and that's certainly true with my second book. Not really getting going on it on the approach to Christmas, I finally got going again in the last two weeks and finished it. I intend to be equally disciplined about proof-reading it and get the thing out there by February.

Once the book is out there, I intend to devote the freed time to vigorous online self-promotion and get my Practice out there! In previous times, I have seen partnerships as the way forward, but with all previous ventures evaporating, this year's efforts look like they're going to be solo. That's fine with me! I believe utterly in myself, my skills and my ability to make it happen.

As a suicide note, Russian poet Sergei Esenin (1895-1925) wrote an entire poem entitled "Goodbye my friend, goodbye" in his own blood, not to die by bleeding but because there was no ink in the room. He hanged himself.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Dialogue starts from the courageous willingness to know and be known by others. It is the painstaking and persistent effort to remove all obstacles that obscure our common humanity.
