3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Yesterday was a day of minor disappointments and frustrations, but I have learned that what is important is my response to these situations. I am quite pleased with my response, particularly in achieving the most important priority of not taking things out on Missus! I have been loving and gentle and definitely see a better man than in the past.

Son is currently going through the "surrounded by idiots" thing, particularly at college, and he's probably not imagining it - he is surrounded by idiots! But he too will have to learn that what counts is your response to these situations. When it does all get too much, time and space are the best treatments, and that's what he'll get. It's tough for a loving parent to have to watch, but he must be allowed to do his thing his way and learn from the mistakes.

With both children now young adults, it's time to refocus back on the difference I personally wish to make and focus on the audience receptive to my gifts and abilities.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU

8. TRIVIA
In 1803, Jean-Jacques Dessalines (1758-1806), Haiti’s first ruler, created the nation’s flag by ripping out the white stripe in the French red, white, and blue flag, claiming he would rip white people from the nation. The remaining blue and red stripes represented blacks and mulattos of Haiti. Haiti’s coat of arms sits in the centre.

9. ZEN WISDOM
