3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have become aware that a challenge is good for you! Though permanent stress is a killer, some degree of "do or die" is essential to the wellbeing of mind and body. Though I don't enjoy the nervous feeling before a challenge, it focuses the mind wonderfully and you always feel fulfilled after.

I'm fine when a challenge arrives by itself, but I need to actually initiate challenges myself on other days, particularly if I want to keep my weight under control. From this week I fully intend to start seriously moving

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
What challenges have you set yourself?

7. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
Lucy Porter at the Edinburgh Festival

8. TRIVIA
More people are killed by bee stings and lightning than by shark attacks. Worldwide about 30 people die each year from shark attacks, which means a person has a one in 300 million chance of being killed by a shark. A shark attack most often occurs when a shark mistakes a person for a seal or other animal.

9. ZEN WISDOM
When your determination changes, everything will begin to move in the direction you desire. The moment you resolve to be victorious, every nerve and fiber in your being will immediately orient itself toward your success. On the other hand, if you think, “This is never going to work out,” then at that instant every cell in your being will be deflated and give up the fight.
