3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
A weekend free of the Weekend Job is most pleasant indeed but it hasn't resulted in an abundance of extra time. That however is not a complaint, as I am being enabled to invest quality time into my relationship with Son and Missus. These relationships are always my first priority for time and resources above any other consideration - a lesson I have learned from the negative example of my own parents and their miserable dysfunctional relationships.

I consequently enjoy a life of bliss my parents will have never known. This life is not free of problems but it IS free of misery! It is the ability to handle problems, not the absence of problems that preserves happiness.

All this of course is to do with my character. Whilst my character continues to play out its role, I attach the greatest priority to connecting with my True Self. This requires no material or physical resources at all, but it does require a supreme mental effort, an act of total concentration. I have learned over many years how challenging it is to muster that level of continuous focus, but I have that clear intention and the determination to achieve it, because I have already tasted intermittently the sweet prize - total peace of mind.

4. TODAY'S QUESTION FOR YOU
Are you clear in your mind about what you really want?

8. TRIVIA
The presence of Earth’s moon is singularly important because it stabilizes Earth’s tilt. Without the moon, Earth would still have wild changes in climate making civilisation impossible. The stabilizing tug of the moon tempers Earth, resulting in the minor tip that causes summer and winter seasons.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Just as a diamond can only be polished by another diamond, it is only through genuine, all-out engagement with others that people can polish their character, and help each other to reach greater heights.
