3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
I have woken up like a "flat battery" this morning, feeling very leaden, probably after quite quite an early start and physical day yesterday. If so, today will be a chance to recover as most of today's tasks are sedentary in front of either clients or the computer. I also missed yesterday's meditation but will have the opportunity for a long one today.
Feeling less than bouncy will be a good test of my newly-restored faith and focus, to see if I can keep both in the face of fatigue. My faith is of course in myself, but being a Nondualist, I have a very broad definition of what "myself" actually is. Essentially, your Ego, that part of yourself that you can directly sense, is only the tip of the iceberg of who you really are. It is in the much larger subconscious part which I trust to deliver, the ego reserved for simply conscious experience.
I believe that human unhappiness stems from the human sense of self being mistakenly attributed solely to the Ego. When you stop overworking the Ego and trust your Higher Self to do the work, life becomes more of a great experience and less of a struggle.
