3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION
Another important discipline I have been reminded of recently is detachment - the conscious separation of your identity from things, and in my particular case, time! Sunday was one of those things where there wasn't enough time to accomplish everything, and priorities had to come first.
Good time management involves letting go of things you'd like to have done so that more important things do not suffer. At the top of my own list is my own wellbeing. I know that without strong wellbeing, I am unable to make the best difference, so prolonged meditation comes first as it is essential to my mental health.
Next priority is loved ones - seeing to their needs, particularly for company and counsel comes before all other tasks, because its relationships that make for fulfilling lives. After this comes business and housework tasks as necessary, and letting go of things I would have liked to do if time were no object.
When you get the priorities right, you have an inner peace and satisfaction free of guilt and frustration, knowing that you did your best with what you have.
