3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

After three days where mind and brain seemed to short-circuit, I'm hoping for balance to be restored. The principal suspect for this malfunction is insufficent mind-maintenance - sleep and meditation. I shall with determination ensure I get them this week!

Although it's half-term, both Son and Missus are out today, so it's a golden opportunity to catch up on housework and get in the aforementioned meditation. If I had any delusions before, I now realize that focus alone cannot keep this mind in order! In needs to be regularly disconnected from the character I play and simply be.

I found being lost in unwanted thoughts and emotions most unpleasant and I don't want to repeat the experience!

8. TRIVIA
The intense heat at the centre of the Earth cannot be explained as a remnant of that caused by its original formation, as it would have long-since cooled. The most likely explanation is the nuclear fission of heavy radioactive elements that have settled in the core.

It's a good thing it's happening - it causes the iron in the core to liquefy and rotate with the Earth's spin, generating a magnetic field that protects our atmosphere from the Solar Wind.

9. ZEN WISDOM
“Thank you” is a miraculous expression. We feel good when we say it, and we feel good when we hear it. When we speak or hear the words “thank you,” the armour falls from our hearts and we can communicate on the deepest level.
