3. TODAY'S SELF-OBSERVATION

In a shift of emphasis and after the brain malfunctions of the weekend, focus is now on sleep, meditation and higher consciousness, based on the hunch that if mind and spirit are sorted, the rest will take care of itself.

It being half-term and no compulsory early mornings or fixed teatimes, this is an ideal week to launch this initiative. So far so good - got in meditation on Monday and slept to the unheard-of hour of 07:30 - the middle of the day by my standards! A sleep long enough to enjoy a small-hours fap and have a couple of memorable dreams - a sure sign that sleep is adequate.

I consequently feel ME at this moment - untroubled by dark emotions that have plagued my entire life. But of course it is these very challenges that have driven me towards Higher Consciousness - necessity is not only the mother of invention but development in general.

I think I have fully learned my lesson this time about what my priorities need to be. After all, this character is very temporary and already into the final third. Wisdom and Consciousness are eternal. With my focus on this, I believe that a fulfilling character experience will inevitably follow.

9. ZEN WISDOM
Happiness is not found in a tranquil life free of storms and tempests. Real happiness is found in the struggles we undergo to realize our goals
